I recently took my first tentative steps through a door opened by God, who, using one of his servants, directed me to enter. I am still looking around the room and enjoying the wondrous sights that were always before me, but many of which I had little time to enjoy or, rather, should I say, become an integral part of & I was too busy.

On entering, I listened for the shattering noises that would accompany me into the room of God & none. I peered into the sky looking for the fireworks that would welcome this great sinner-catch & none. I looked at the others assembled in the room and saw nothing special about them, they were just men; talking, laughing and one praying with a passion that I had never encountered before; what a disappointment!

I wanted drama, come on God, your people promised more in the advertisements! Were you now reneging on the insurance plan you had promised? No cymbals, no crashing thunder, no thundering voice reverberating through my head commanding me to close the door behind so sin would not get in. All you had to offer was this small voice whispering in the most commanding manner, You have taken a long time to see the way, now are you man enough to walk towards the light and let the truth be revealed to you?

God is looking for a man, is that man you? That is the question that has been put to you and I will not clothe it in scripture, I will clothe it in humanity. Why would God be looking for a man? Certainly being the architect of the universe he would know exactly who to recruit to do his bidding. The answer is really quite simple, God is not looking for a man from among his elect, they already have their role to play in the redemption process.

God is looking for a man from among the masses, one that will, from his very origins, show the power of God and through this glorify his name. More than that, however, he will show the pathological sinners that God is still the worker of miracles and that they too may be, regardless of antecedents, one of the men that God is looking for.

The second reason is that men have lost the power that God originally endowed them with, and this is not the power of strength over women, or any of the other gender- oriented criteria that has become so much a part of our recent mind-set. Men have been targeted by the subtle force of evil to be caught up in carnality and material worship, which has foregone the important factor that youth does not last forever and that we at some time have to ask ourselves the question, what have we contributed ?

Have we been a spiritual guide to our children? Have we carried out our social and religious responsibility to the development of the earthly family, which is the extension of the heavenly family? Have we provided for the future of our children, not only economically, but in moral and social commitment? Have we set standards that when our children sit together they can with pride speak of the exploits of their fathers, rather than have to use demoralising standards?

When weighed against values that will last, the results paint a grim picture of the message that the youth male and female will have to carry forward; men are slowly becoming extinct. Although human beings are still roaming the earth, standing upright, they are resorting to the animalistic characteristics that are still floating in the virile genetic pool. God needs his men back, he needs the voices of Godmen to carry his word.

Unless we recognise that men play an integral part in God’s redemption plan; unless we recognise that man has a significant role in God’s family structure; unless we seek to redeem the values that make us man; unless we come to grips with the fact that man cannot allow only his reproductive capacity to be the yardstick by which we value our manhood; unless men understand that men must be valued by the God-like qualities we possess, they will have failed their true calling.

Yes, God is looking for a man. The the question is, are you willing to accept the challenge and be that man? You will never know unless you are willing to face that challenge, and it is a challenge.

The Law Of The Spirit Gives ( Eternal ) Life & Peace

For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemened sin in the flesh. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:3-8
